This slim Viking strap end in Borre style is based on a Viking Age find from Gotland / Sweden, dating to the 11th century. Similar Viking strap ends in the Borre style have been found in Scandinavia as well as in Russia. The Viking strap end fitting measures 3.8 x 1 cm. You can buy the Viking strap end in high-quality bronze or in real silver-plated. Fastening: As documented by Viking examples, the strap end has two pins 8 mm long on the back. These are best bent over slightly at the tip with round-nosed pliers and the Viking strap end is then simply tapped firmly with a hammer.
