Description
Sheath hanger for a Viking Age knife.
This replica of a small fitting for a knife sheath from the time of the Vikings was made after a historical model from Birka / Sweden.
Such scabbard fittings were used in the Viking Age to attach a leather scabbard to the upper edge of a leather belt.
The Viking Age sheath fitting measures 2.5 x 2 cm. The ring measures 1.7 cm.
Made of high-quality bronze casting or real silver-plated.
To attach the fitting to the scabbard, a double-headed hollow brass rivet is included. To mount it, insert it through a hole in the leather, put the cap on and then simply tap it tight with a small hammer.
