Viking Age strap ends of this type were found very frequently and were widespread in Scandinavia, Gotland as well as in Russia. The Viking Age strap end in the Borre style measures 6.5 x 1.8 cm. The strap end fitting is therefore well suited for straps up to 2 cm wide. The Birka Viking strap end fitting is made of bronze and is also available in genuine silver-plated. Fastening: As it is documented from Viking Age examples, this strap tongue replica also has four pins of 8 mm length on the back.
