Description
Viking belt fitting with horseman motif from Gokstad.
This remarkable Viking belt fitting with the image of a horseman with lance is based on a find from the Viking ship grave at Gokstad.
This Viking Age belt fitting was probably made after Magyar models or even of Magyar origin and dates to theĀ 10th century.
The Viking Age belt fitting has a diameter of 3 cm, just like the historical original, and is made of high-quality bronze and also available in real silver-plated.
Fastening: There are three pins on the back of the belt fitting from Gokstad. To fasten the decorative rivets, simply pass them through corresponding holes in the leather. Use pliers to bend the tip of the pin inwards a little. If you then tap the pins flat with a hammer, the tip will sink into the leather and the belt fitting will be stable and flat on the belt.
